About this Speaker

In her career as a tennis professional Wendy has helped players develop a physical and mental foundation giving them the ability to be the best that they can be.
From 1970-1972 Wendy worked at the Dayton Indoor Tennis Club in Ohio before becoming Director of Tennis at the Kettering Tennis Center from 1972-2000. During her time in Ohio, she coached a NCAA Singles Champion, an ITA Senior Player of the Year, a Big Ten Freshman of the Year, Ohio High School State Singles and Doubles Champions, and many Scholar/Athletes. Wendy was Director of Tennis at the Fox Cities Racquet Club in Appleton, WI from 2000-2009. Since her retirement, she has continued to teach part time and to work with athletes and teams on developing and strengthening the mental skills needed to be successful in sport and, more importantly, in life. Wendy has been a speaker at the USPTA World Conference on Tennis and many conferences within the Midwest. In addition to coaching and speaking, Wendy has written a tennis workbook, TRAIN TO GAIN-Building Mental Muscle, which is a tool for coaches and pros to use in mental training. Her most recent workbook TRAIN TO GAIN-Become A Better YOU is a program for personal development. Another project with her father Warren (Baba) Whitlinger was creating the book Timeless Tips–a collection of quotes from Baba.
